Dermatologists are medical doctors who specialize in diseases of the skin, hair, and nails.  Dermatologists complete four years of medical school, followed by a year of internal medicine for internship, followed by three years of residency training.  Dermatologist are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of skin disorders.  They have also been trained in various procedures, such as dermatologic surgery, cosmetic surgery, and cosmetic procedures. All the dermatologists in our office are board certified, which means they have taken and passed a national exam in Dermatology.
